Royal Doulton Pure Milk Ceramic Pail

Here we have probably the most extraordinary milk pail of monumental size. Just over two years ago another example turned up and I purchased it having for the first time in over 40 years never seen another. Now I have a second example in the same pattern and form. Dated on the base 4.6.03.with impressed numbers and Royal Doulton lion mark making it contemporary with the arts and crafts period which shows in the elaborate transfer print. Length 22 inches, width 18 inches, height 12.5 inches. Minor wear to a few letters. This pail weighs 12.7 kg so you will need a sturdy place for it to live!!! English c 1903
