German GR Westerwald Tavern Ale Jug

A small example of a GR westerwald jug with handle. Typical manganese ridded top with checkerboard and star pattern around the body. Height 5 inches. One minor hairline in top rim with associated tiny chip and a small patch of unglazed decoration to right of GR badge which is a manufacturing issue and not damage. German, late 18th century.
