Blue Apothecary Chemist Pottery Honey Jar

Rare large cylindrical jar marked Honey in gilt letters. These big jars graced the very finest of chemist shops from the mid 19th century onwards and usually came in sets of three, Honey,Tamarinds & Leeches.  Almost all were made in the Staffordshire potteries although this one is unmarked. Jar has some minor repairs to base and lid only.  Measures 12 inches tall. C1850,60.
