Maroon Pottery Alcock Honey Jar

Large Honey Jar with finely gilt letters and marked on the base ILLIDGE . This mark refers to a well known supplier of chemist related wares to the trade during the early 19th century onwards.  Overall condition is very good with all the original gilding although the lid has been repaired. Height 13 inches. English C1840/50.
