Antique Veterinary Blood Letting Brass Fleam Thomas Wells 1850

A very unusual blood letting fleam with owners name and date embossed to a brass plaque.  Marked Thomas Wells 1850.  Makers mark for F. Newton Premier. Fleam has 3 blades.  Minor chipping to steel blades and a small chip from the horn backing .  Probably a one off made for this gentleman. C1850, English.
