Antique Glass Onion Bottle John Newte Tiverton Devon
Here we have the most extraordinary sealed onion bottle in the most amazing form. Fully documented and owned by the Reverend John Newte of St Peters Parish Church Tiverton Devon. This half size bottle has a well struck clear seal with his coat of arms and amusingly incorporating an amphibious newt at the top. A great deal can be found out online regarding this mans history. Height 5.25 inches, width 5.25 inches. A potstone exists in the neck but has no star crack radiations. No chips or cracks. Found on page 1566 of Antique Sealed Bottles by David Burton.
