Rare ASCR Oxford College 1st Sealed Wine Bottle 1750

Here we have a wonderful example of the first ever made sealed wine bottle for the All Souls College Rooms in Oxford. This example measures 10 inches tall and is the second example known as Seal 1 the 1st All Souls seal, taller form in Fay Banks book on the subject. Lovely glossy rippled surface to the body. The top rim is all wibbly wobbly and crudely finished. One tiny de corking chip only. Usual imperfections and lines within the glass but no cracks or star cracks.
