Exceptional Large Antique Treen Butter Stamp Nicolle Niaux

A wonderful and rare large butter stamp named B.Nicolle, Niaux. The town of Niaux is near to the Andorra border. This surname has origins in the Jersey & Guernsey region and the style of the stamp is very English in look. Originally stained when made the wood underneath is sycamore. Measures 5.5 inches wide by 4 inches tall. Good condition. French or English C1880/1900
