Morel Brothers Game Pate Yorkshire Pie Ironstone Dish

A fabulous and very rare dish made by Morel Brothers of Piccadilly & Inverness. This company was founded in 1810 and served the wealthy fraternity of the UK and Scotland with fine quality produce. This dish contained pate but was also made to be used as a pie dish after use hence the advertising on the lid. Length 6 inches, height 4 inches. The lid and side handles have a wild boar design. No marks. No chips or cracks. English C1880.
