Staffordshire Pottery Chicken Egg Baskets

A fine pair of big and small pottery chickens in black. Originally used as egg baskets in the kitchen these more unusual black examples are not often seen. Measuring 6 inches and 9 inches respectively. Very minor inner rim chip on one and a tiny amount of enamel loss to the smaller example. English Jackfield style Staffordshire pottery, c 1880/1900.
