Antique Saltglaze Stoneware Tavern Jug
A very fine and unusual salt glaze stoneware tavern jug in an attractive shape. The sprigging includes a spaniel (dog) swan, shrouds, trees and toby philpot. Also included is a single raised four leaf clover below the handle. There is three tiny edge losses only, no other damage or issues. The silver plate has worn away from the rim. No marks. Height 9 inches, width 6 inches. The style and colour is not typical of Mortlake so im pinning this one as Vauxhall London made. Late 18th century/ Early 19th.
