Mew Langton Royal Brewery Newport Isle of Wight Doulton Pub Jug

Scarce brewery jug from the Isle of Wight company Mew Langton. Attractive blue glaze with buff interior. Mew were granted a royal warrant in 1850 from Queen Victoria for supplying Osborne House and used the coat of arms after this date until the death of George V in 1936. One tiny blowhole on the glaze as pictured otherwise no chips repairs or cracks. Height 6 inches, width 4 inches. C1930.
