Exceptional Pottery New Milk Pail

A wonderful rare shaped New Milk pail with shell formed handles & original brass lid. Body decorated with multicoloured flowers and black transfer printed wording under glazed NEW MILK. The lid was tightly fixed onto the rim but it is now loose. The back of the body had some damage which has now been restored and displays perfectly. Typical age marks to body with a  base mark D730. Height 12 inches, width 16 inches. I have sold 100,s of milk pails over the last 40 years but this is the first one in this design I have seen.  English C1910/20
